Note: Combination Life & Health or Property & Casualty exams are not available in this state; therefore, there are no combined courses. You will need to complete your studies in individual courses: Life / Health or Property / Casualty. You will also need to apply for your license with the state insurance department and register for the state licensing exam. Make sure to register for all 3 (prelicensing course, license application, state exam) using the personally identifiable information exactly as it appears on your government-issued ID. Discrepancies will delay the licensing process. 01 ### Complete a prelicensing course Complete a prelicensing course that has been approved by the Department of Insurance. Once you have completed your course and passed the Certificate Exam, EducUp will review and process your Certificate of Completion. Processing takes up to 2 business days and may be delayed for proctor validation. Once approved, your Certificate of Completion may be downloaded and printed from your EducUp account. You will need this certificate when you take your exam. The certificate of completion is valid for one (1) year. 02 ### Schedule your fingerprinting reservation Schedule your fingerprinting reservation with Fieldprint ( Use the code FPWIOCIINSURANCE when scheduling your appointment. 03 ### Schedule your exam Schedule your exam with your state’s testing provider, PSI online ( or call (888) 818-5805. Your exam may be taken at a physical PSI examination center or via a remote online proctored location. 04 ### Take and pass your state licensing exam On the day of your appointment, you must bring with you one valid (non-expired) form of government-issued identification (driver’s license, passport, military I.D., etc.) which must contain your name and photograph. You must also bring your certificate of completion to the exam. You will not be able to take your exam if these requirements are not met. You must get 70% correct to pass the examination. Your score will be displayed on screen at the end of the examination and a score report will be emailed to you. NOTE: Candidates taking a remotely proctored exam must select to end both the exam portion and survey portion of the test to receive your on-screen results and emailed score report. Security measures are taken for all testing methods. Restrictions on what you may bring with you to the testing center, into the testing room, and what you may wear will be enforced.
