# Oregon CPA license

Oregon's 2026 initial licensing application describes multiple education/experience paths. Bookkeeping and non-CPA accounting work are separate from the CPA license.

## 3 credential pathways

Each credential below has its own requirements. Pick the one that matches the work you plan to do.

### Oregon CPA license: 150-hour route and one year.

1.  #### Education
    
    Complete a bachelor's degree and 150 semester hours meeting Oregon's accounting and business coursework rules.
    
2.  #### Exam
    
    Pass the Uniform CPA Examination, including the core and discipline sections, and complete the AICPA ethics examination required by Oregon.
    
3.  #### Experience
    
    Complete one year or 2,000 hours of qualifying experience under the direct supervision of a qualified CPA.
    
4.  #### Application
    
    Submit the 2026 Oregon initial licensing application with official transcripts, NASBA exam record, ethics evidence, experience verification, and Board disclosures.
    

### Oregon CPA license: bachelor's degree route and two years.

1.  #### Education
    
    Hold a bachelor's degree with the accounting education and subject coverage specified by Oregon; the route does not require a universal 150-hour total.
    
2.  #### Exam
    
    Pass the Uniform CPA Examination and the Oregon-required AICPA ethics examination.
    
3.  #### Experience
    
    Complete two years of qualifying experience under the direct supervision and verification requirements in Oregon's 2026 rules.
